How did the influx of people after world war 2 impact canada

After World War II ended there was massive immigration to Canada from Anglosphere countries such as New Zealand, Ireland and the UK.

However, by the 1960s and 70s there people from previous British Empire moved to Canada. This included people from Pakistan, India, SriLanka, African countries and many Arab countries.

By the 1980s and 1990s, Canada's demographics had completely changed with an influx of various cultures, cuisines, etc

Canada also introduced various new laws for the protection of minorities and today the country is known as a haven for multi-culturalism.

An influx of large mass of people in short period of time brings lots of changes, and has multiple effects on the country and society where they move in. In Canada, after the World War II, the big influx of people had few significant effects:

- Population growth;

Since Canada didn't had big population, the new influx of large amount of people resulted in rapid big population growth (on percentage of total population).

- Increased urbanization;

Since the population grew rapidly, a rapid urbanization process began, and the Canadian cities and towns became bigger.

- Rising economy;

Canada is a country abundant with natural resources and it offers lots of opportunities for work, so when the new people came in the country it actually had a positive economic effect because there was job for everyone, it was nicely paid, and it help the Canadian economy to grow.
