What african american was born into salvery and become a famous leader

I believe  the other person is wrong because its talking about a FAMOUS leader and well I've never heard of that person, its Fredrick Douglass. He was born into slavery then he got out of it become a free black man and wrote stories of his life in slavery he is considered a FAMOUS leader, OR the story of Harriet a women who made the underground railroad and freed many many many slaves by herself  (the first time later on she gained help by other volunteers) when everyone said it was to dangerous for a women like her  

I am 100% correct.

I have dug deeper into the slavery time period then anyone else in my class and was top in that same class because of my findings. I will say it was an awful time period but also the most interesting, in my opinion of course but even with that opinion I am still the only one correct.
