Well, Manifest destiny was a movement that spread throughout the existing U.S that had the idea the their destiny, or fate, was to move westward and it was justified, and inevitable. His plan was successful and Britain extended the boundaries of the agreement to generous amounts. So, to summarize, yes, President Polk's attitude towards Manifest Destiny was positive, he was in favor of the idea and was the one who obtained one of the biggest chunks of territory the U.S acquired in that time, however; was he against the use of money to buy the territory?
