What was one main shortfall during the progressive era

during the progressive era jim crow laws were bing set into place. many african americans couldnt get a job so they couldnt progress. this also caused a lot of racial issues. many of the issues went into court like the Plessy vs. Fergusen case. this era did not help african americans improve theie life.
