70 ! i need paraphrasing these paragraphs. today has probably been one of the most trying out of all my days in what has been so accurately dubbed the “secret annex.” while going about my menial tasks this afternoon, the dreadful little girl from the frank family had the audacity to ask for the use our shared table for more than the allotted time we had agreed upon. i was instantly against this. anne had absolutely no reason to require any more use of it, and would interfere with my own practice. despite her failed efforts to be polite, i refused.  this, of course, caused a rather unpleasant ruckus within the small living space we shared. after much arguing, her father managed to convince me to allow her the leeway i was so reluctant to give. i still don’t approve, but pacifying that insolent girl will save me a lot of headaches. i do wish she was more like her sister margot, though it is useless to fantasize about what is unchangeable. by using mr. dussell’s point of view for this diary entry, the tone changed from indignant and victorious to ruffled and angry. mr. dussell did not gain anything by allowing anne to use time at a table when he would have, which was why he was reluctant to allow her that luxury. he also refused to let her have what she desired so easily, and shamelessly upset her. mr. dussell practices his occupation during the time that he uses the desk, and therefore he would feel like his reasons were more important than hers. in addition, anne has already quarreled with him multiple times, which means he is already prejudiced against her.
