Why did industrialization in the 1890s push the unied states toward internationalism?

Thanks to industrialization of the 1890s, United States businesses were producing more goods at a more efficient rate compared to any other time in American history. With the ability to mass produce numerous products, the US turned to internationalism as a means to expand their economic opportunities.US businesses wanted to be able to sell their goods to other countries so that they could continue to grow and generate revenue.
