The white owners decided to import slaves from Africa because they were not only used to the climate condition which was same in Africa as in here but were cost efficient and were agreed to work of lower wages. French revolution had a major impact on import of slaves and slavery was outlawed from here. Although, the already imported slaves lived in a miserable condition.
