Which is the rationale behind having workplace laws that apply only to teens

Not sure if there should be options included, but the rationale is to further protect minors who participate in the workforce. 

Minors have special rights and limitations on their freedoms that adults do not have. For this reason, there are workplace laws that apply only to teens in order to maintain consistency with these special rights and limitations.
