What are some things you can research and do to assist you with your transition from and entry level position to a more advanced position?

Using research on a specific more advanced position, may be done o the internet. However; before doing that, I would go to human resources and find out more on career advancement. Companies usually have a training department also. Since advanced positions may include a requirement for education and skills, human resources can also assist you.
