You should apply a gentle pressure to the baby's head as it comes out. This action is very necessary because, the head of every baby born through the vaginal become misshapen to some extent during delivery as a result of incorrect handling [this is because the head is so soft], although the abnormality is usually corrected in most babies within few days.
