Explain the difference between qualitative and quantitative data, and give one example of each.

Qualitative data is the data that can be characterized, we can relate qualities to them, like gender or hair color. Basically, we can define it as the non-numerical data, that's it. In this type of data we create categories to systematize all, because if we don't have numbers, we can use intervals or stats that requires numerical variables. So, when you see data that can be arranged categorically, you will know that's qualitative data. Another example could ethnicity, it's a qualitative data.

On the other hand, quantitative data is numerical. Here we have all grouped as numbers with intervals. For example, age, height, weights, distance, temperature, all are quantitative data because the are number-based.
