If Max's urine is too yellow and is concentrated that means he is dehydrated and needs to replenish his body with fluids. If his urine is clear and diluted that means his body has enough fluids. 

If urine is too concentrated and opaque, it would be hard for it to be excreted by the urinary tract leading to different complications in the body, like developing excessive salt in the kidneys.

Iwould say being around others who are not drug free is the wrong step because your peers are likely to influence any new or past habits
