If your mother is having major dizzy spells, please possibly check if she's eaten lately, drank enough water, and gotten enough sugar throughout the day. If this is a daily thing, go to your doctor to see if she has any health issues, such as vertigo.

It should not be life threatening. I would just watch her, and make sure that a fever does not go into play. Check her temperature every hour or so. If it goes up higher, have her take some Tylenol, and if it stays for a matter of days, go check with your local doctor.
