When a child's bone is fractured growth may be stimulated at the epiphyseal plate?

when a bone is fractured and the doctor align the fractured ends, the process of healing takes place at that area and no growth stimulation at the epiphyseal plate occur, unless it is involved in the fracture, this is only a healing process which has nothing to do with the normal bone elongation which happen at the bone ends at the epiphysis. 
If the epiphysis is damaged because of a combined fracture or infection or improper treatment, the growth of this limb may not be normal. and the other limb just go on growing and no compensation happens at all.

Endurance would be my answer
