How is technology to change the approach to infectious diseases from response to prediction and prevention?

Aside from making the prediction and prevention a much simpler, there are some cases where some doctors are using robotics to perform much more difficult operations. There are also many people working on using tech to quickly stop blood loss in the battle field. 

The alveoli are what give the lungs so much space, and if they are big, there is more gas exchange than if they are small.
