Short-term disability is a disability that lasts: 0-3 months.
0-12 months.
1-2 weeks.
12-24 months.

Typically between 0-12 months. As I’ve personally not known of anybody taking closer to a year off, it’s often many are on short term disability for around 2-6 months, depending on severity.
