Can someone die by biting their tongue plzz answer this is for school

Probably,In stories that are in Japanese origin I sometimes see the idea of sui.cide through biting the tongue off, especially when getting interrogated while having both hands tied behind or when without any tools to accomplish the act. Probably a very painful way to go, since even little cuts hurt like hell for days to end. If you think of a dramatic way to go like this, just don't. I won't stop you from making choices for yourself but this way is just too disgusting
