no that's not wrong, he is your father. that's actually common for people who have been abuse to still love and or care for their abuser.

First of all I'm so sorry you went through that, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy and I hope you're safe now and doing better even if it's just a small bit because you deserve more than that. I obviously have no right to comment on your experience because I havent been through exactly what you've been through but no I think it's okay that you still love your dad. We love people that hurt us everyday, were human and we can't help it. I myself have a parent that left me when my parents split up, I know of course it's not the same but I know I'm never going to be whole knowing someone could do that to their child. I feel that us kids love our parents no matter what they do because we feel we need them and they are supposed to love us, even if it's not the case. I'll admit I get sad pretty often knowing that something could happen one day and I could never see my mom again, even if she was the one who made the choice to leave. So I guess I'm trying to say no it's not wrong you still love him after he did that to you, of course never look back to that kind of situation I just mean it's okay to have these feelings.
