Joan was invited to a party at her friend Erica's house. When she arrived, she was surprised to find that Erica's parents were not home. The people at the party were drinking alcohol and pressured Joan to join them. She was nervous because she is only 17, but did try some of the alcohol. She was still a little nervous and tried not to drink too much. Later, Erica's parents came home early and surprised everyone at the party. They called all the parents of the kids at the party. Joan’s parents were very upset. They told Joan how disappointed they were that she was abusing alcohol. Based upon what you know about drug use and abuse, do you agree with them? Write a letter to Joan’s parents explaining to them what your feelings are related to their beliefs about Joan's actions. Be sure to include:

2. Include the definition of use.
3. Include the definition of abuse.
4. An explanation of the differences between them. Examples may be used.
