I have never experimented with illegal drugs but I do have a close friend who has experimented with these.

Explanation: She used illegal drugs as a way to deal with her depression. Many people resort to the use of illegal substances to calm the effects of depression but this is something that in the long term only brings negative results. With psychological therapy, my friend understood that she did not have to use drugs to deal with her depression and she gave up the use of illegal drugs. Currently, she says that she does not plan to use them in the near or distant future as she knows that she can turn to psychological therapy to deal with her problems.
