PL HLP Are all calories the same?

Consider the following two questions as you make up your mind.

• Are 500 calories from two slices of pizza the same as 500 calories from vegetables?

• Are you able to eat more calories and still have the same body composition if you eat healthy food?

Using your answers to the previous two questions, discuss why you believe all calories are the same, or why you do not believe all calories are the same.

Not quite, calories are just a total within a composition of nutrients. Vegetables can be nutritious in vitamins and still be low in calories. However, two slices of pizza can just contain fat(the bad kind) , protein, and carbs.

Not all calories are the same as there are different factors to each food and what they contain in terms of nutrients and what not.
