You can check pulse in the wrist

Medically by :

Place two fingers between the bone and the tendon over your radial artery ( which is located on the thumb side of your wrist. )When you feel your pulse, count the number of beats in 15 seconds. Multiply this number by four to calculate your beats per minute.

You did not show us the image of the burger, but i shall try to answer as best i can.  when purchasing food, always consider the ingredients as well as the person who prepared it. consider if they were hygienic people or not, in case the burger was infected with bacteria. no mortal should place an infected burger into their mouth.
