Neuronfan the three major causes that can contribute to mental health disorders are physical, psychological, and environmental. physical factors are genetics, brain damage, exposure to toxins, and poor nutrition. psychological factors are early loss of a family member, severe trauma, and childhood neglect. environmental factors are death/divorce, dysfunctional family life, poverty, change, and substance abuse.
