Why are boys/men tough on the outside but sensitive on the inside need help

People who act tough thrive on feeling like they have power over other people. They want to be perceived as being "in control," and they often micromanage others or make unreasonable demands. Mentally strong people, however, are interested in controlling themselves rather than the people around them.

it's like, boys/men wanna be tough to impress girls, but they shouldn't be so tough, instead they should be sweeti mean, men/boys can be tough, but they should do that only when they are defending someone.
