I hesitated on even including this chapter in the online material. I would so much rather we be in a classroom setting. The book is out dated so I inluded a few links for you to view. Comment on the topics below to earn your grade this week. 1. Obviously people don't wake up one day and decide to become an addict, but because these drugs are so powerful and habit forming that is indeed what happens to most users. Why do you think that people turn to drugs and use for the first time? 2. Explain how a persons physical appearance can change so drastically using methamphetamines and why they wuld do that to themselves. 3. What is something about drugs I could tell you that would pursuade you from ever using them? 4. Name a goal you would like to achieve after HS and give me an example of how drugs could make that impossible.
