Although usually anxiety is not a good thing, there are some instances where it can be really helpful. Take "fight or flight" situations as your example - when you are in danger, your anxiety and stress are going to try to tell you that maybe you shouldn't do something bad or that you should run away while you still can and thus avoid getting hurt. Or quite the obvious - anxiety can help your body secrete adrenaline which will help you get stronger for a minute, which is all you need to escape danger.

Anxiety refers to the normal as well as a healthy emotion. But, when an individual feels anxiety in a disproportionate level, then it can becomes a medical condition. Anxiety disorders make a category of mental health which leads to excessive nervousness, apprehension, fear, and worry.
