This statement is true. People's thoughts on themselves and in particular their ideal self can greatly influence their behavior and actions. If someone views them self as healthy, they are more likely to be happy, however is some has a negative view (even if others considered them skinny or in shape) it can eating disorders or other destructive behavior.
