The preoperational thinking is the Second stage out of four stages of Piaget's concept or theory of cognitive development in children and the other three(3) stages are Sensorimotor stage, Concrete operational stage, and formal operational stage. The preoperational thinking happens in children between the ages of two(2) to seven(7) and this stages is a stage in which children develop their language although they can not understand the complexity of the language like adults. Explanation: According to Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development, pre-operational stage which is the second stage starts from 2years to 7 years.Here,a child doesn't make use of the cognitive domain rather the child thinks and reasons symbolically and makes use of objects and situations that happen around him to make up thought and ideas.

Certain attribute/ features characterize this stage,they include;

- Children focus and think about one thing at a time,they can't multi-task or do alot of things at the same time.

- They think more about themselves than anyone around them.

- They make people around them to believe that certain parts of the environment are created by humans like the stars,moon and sun.
