Amniocentesis may be defined as the diagnostic testing in which the amniotic fluid is used to determine any genetic disease in the fetus. The sex of the child can also be determined by this technique.

The woman do not chose the amniocentesis because this might affect the development of the baby and can also effect the fetus. The parent wants their baby whether the fetus is normal and abnormal and links with the moral decision.
