The energy in the food your body absorbs is eventually converted to heat. what happens to the matter in your food?

Once the energy has been absorbed from food the matter continues through the digestive system. Along with energy, other parts of your food are absorbed such as vitamins and nutrients. Any food matter that cannot be digested is excreted.
