How are cardiac muscle cells similar to smooth muscle cells?

Cardiac muscles are the muscles of the heart. They are made up of tissues which make up the walls of the heart. Smooth muscles can be described as a muscle type which are non-striated and are present on the inner linings of organs  like reproductive organs, digestive organs, bladder etc.

Similarities between the cardiac and smooth muscles cells include:
