An internal influence is how you influence youself. For example if you tell yourself that you're ugly and nothing can make you look nice, that's an internal influence.

An external influence is an influence that is from the outside of you, meaning your friends or what other people tell you. So if your best friend tells you that you need to wear a blouse more often, that is an external influence because he/she is telling/influencing you to do something.
