How to know when eggs are done boiling

Spin the egg on a flat surface, stop it with your index finger and immediately let go again, if the egg continues to spin or wobble it is not done because the raw white and yolk inside are continuing to spin, if it stops it is done.

After the water boils leave the egg in the boiling water for 5 minutes
