Every now and again, a story will pop up about some famous sports figure using banned substances like steroids. why do these athletes take these substances? are they safe? is this cheating ? is it okay for non-professional athletes to use these substances? what are your thoughts?

athletes takes steroids for more strengh and muslce. They are not safe even legal steroid (which are not for sports but something a doctor may recommend) they can cause kidney problemes and failure, liver damage, enlarged heart, and high blood pressure. It is cheating because though sport's steroids can make your skills better and help you win the game (but with that you will suffer health problems after using it). No it is not okay no matter if your an athlete or not it is very dangerous, and illegal.
