Because, if you avoid a situation where you can get addicted or even get a view of how people use it in inappropriate ways it can cause you to want to do the same and if you’re not in the situations you’re less likely to have those type of urges, if you were asking about yourself I suggest you stay away from any friends or family members that might cause you to take interest in such things
