People may see things differently than others depending on the perception, or the way someone sees something. An example is color blindness. While one person might be able to see a red water bottle while someone who's color blind may see a green water bottle. Another example is size. Let's say a father and his son go see a statue, the father is 6 feet tall and his son is 3 feet tall. The man and his son will both have different perceptions of the statue because of their height differences.
