Enough water has been discovered on Mars to cover the whole planet in several meters of it if it melted. In addition several places on Mars rise to a temperature of 80 degrees Fahrenheit during the day. Although these conditions seem suitable for life, there is currently no life on Mars.
What is a good hypothesis for why this is the case?
