I would say Guatemala City probably maintains an average temperature around 85 degrees fahrenheit and has been called I believe "the city of eternal spring" where it doesn't get too hot or too cold. I have been in Guatemala City several times and can vouch for this that the climate is very pleasant.

Magma is outside the volcano  and lava is inside the volcano. 

The war began as a fight between mayans and the landowners of the country. the main causes of the guatemalan civil war was started by the greed of the united fruit company, the fear of communism, and the racism toward the  mayan  people.
