How are physical features used to determine relative ages

Physical features are used to determine relative age in a few ways. For instance when you notice, worn, stretched out skin you may assume that the person is in the upper side of the age scale. On the other hand if you notice softer, clearer skin you may assume that the person is on the lower side of the spectrum.
