Imagine you are an elected official with the responsibility of drafting legislation designed to protect our environment. what items will you include in your bill? who will be responsible for the bill's implementation? its enforcement? answer these questions in a 125-word paragraph.

If I were to draft legislation to protect our environment, one of the first things I would implement is a tax on oil profits to add to the already existing corporate tax rate, similar to Norway. I would also include a carbon tax so that manufacturers would be less inclined to use fossil fuels as they would have to pay a tax on that. Another regulation would be a ban on offshore fracking and artic drilling so that oil spills like the BP gulf wouldn't happen again. The Department of Energy and would enforce these new regulations on fracking and offshore drilling, as well as new investments towards green energy. The Department of Treasury would oversee enforcement of the new taxes that I listed earlier.

Water flows along the east coast and across the western tropical pacific towards south america, while they both are directed towards that way,  el niño does not directly affect the southern flow of water along the coast.
