The independence section of lithosphere are crest, asthenosphere, mantle, outer core and inner core. The first layer of lithosphere is crest which is 100 km thick. Asthenosphere is the ductile part of the earth present just below the crest. The asthenosphere is about 180 km thick and it is also a part of mantle. Mantle is present between the crest and outer core which is 2,900 kilometers thick. After mantle, outer core layer is started which is present in liquid form and having 2,200 kilometers thick whereas inner core layer is present in solid form and having 5,100 kilometers thick.
