Venus is similar to Earth in size and density. Most scientists also believe that its inner layers are similar to Earth’s. Its inner core is most likely made up of charged metal particles, much like Earth’s. Earth, however, generates a dynamo in its core, which is responsible for its magnetic field. Venus, on the other hand, has almost no magnetic field.

Based on what you know about Earth’s composition and what generates its magnetic field, offer one explanation for why Venus does not have a strong magnetic field.
