Constructed Response CER: According to the NASA website, “the Earth's average temperature has increased about 2 degrees Fahrenheit during the 20th century.” Despite scientists recording this drastic change, many residents in Louisiana still do not think this is worthy of concern.“It’s only 2 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s like changing my Air Conditioner from 72 degrees to 74 degrees, right? That’s not that much of a difference. I think we will be alright.” says Karen Shorthinker, one of the residents living in Louisiana right now. How would you explain to the residents of Louisiana about the effects of climate change?
