What is a transform boundary, and how does it affect the land?

A transformation boundary, unlike a convergent or divergent boundary, slides together instead of pushing or pulling apart or together. Things such as the San Andreas fault is an example of this kind of boundary. These kinds of plates can create destructive, frequent earthquakes, as pressure on these boundaries builds up until one plate slips. These boundaries can create crevices, and on rare occasions, mountains.
