1. As a result, the atmosphere is very transparent to insolation because it does not absorb certain wave length of radiation such as visible light. But it is nearly opaque (good absorber) to long wave terrestrial radiationsince gases such as water vapor and Carbon dioxide are good absorbers of long wave radiation.

2. Insulation will help you keep the desired temperature in your house all year round, protecting it against cold in winter and excess heat in summer.
