First of all, we must establish that a geographer studies the relationships between the elements of the geosphere, so the relationship between the environment, human settlements, the impact of human activities on the environment, the impact of economic activities.

As we can see, the study area of a geographer is vast and includes several aspects.

Regarding the way in which a geographer studies the human-environment relationship, we can specify some aspects:

→ changes / transformations made to have a favorable environment for life: irrigation, use of energy resources, creation of large accumulations of water.

→ analysis of man-made temporal and spatial changes by analysis of satellite images (Landsat, Sentinel).

→ observing the evolution of a certain geographical area that has been transformed by man (examples: the great urban agglomerations of the world, the cutting of tropical forests).
