In the summer, why does alaska have longer days than florida?

In the summer, the Earth's axis tilts towards the Sun - meaning that the places in the North, "on top" of the Globe - experience more Sun , as they're constantly closer to the Sun.
Alaska is more to the North than Florida - so it has longer time of visible Sun than it in the summer.
