Leisure is more commonly called free time when a person does not have to do any compelling activity and has time to pursue what is called ‘hobby’ or ‘leisurely activities’. Leisure is essentially the time when a person has the chance to relax and rewind after a long, hard day. Leisure time is free of duties or any work that has to be done or finished. It is totally up to the individual how he or she might spend their leisurely hours and the way they choose to relax. However, sometimes it is prudent enough to consider engaging in some activities during our leisure time that might prove to be beneficial and productive.

In this essay, I shall share certain tips with you on how to utilize your leisure time in a prudent manner. Certain people adopt very unhealthy ways to spend their leisure time, and thus, it leads to very unhealthy lifestyles.  

The best way to spend leisure time is to spend some time away from the gadgets that have captured us the whole day. Spending quality time surrounded by nature, or by listening to soothing music or reading books is certainly some ways by which you can spend your leisure time. You can also choose to grow certain plants or vegetables in your house garden, and if you don’t have a garden, potted plants will have to do. Given the huge number of environmental concerns that the world faces today, Gardening is a healthy way by which a person can give something back to the environment to improve its quality.
