Using some of the techniques of poetry you have studied in this unit, write a brief poem (8-10 lines). the poem may be iambic pentameter or free verse, rhymed or unrhymed. beneath your poem, list the poetic devices that you used.

Kate is the most wonderful person that has ever existed,

This poem is not enough for all her qualities to be listed.

Kate always speaks her own marvelous, memorable mind,

Yet, she always comes across as nothing but kind.

As strong and brave as a lion is her heart,

Yet her sensibility is shown when she is lost in her art.

Kate is my best friend, she is the Penn to my Teller,

Now that you know how much I love her, will you please tell her?

In this poem, I use hyperbole when I claim that Kate is the most wonderful person that has ever existed. I also used alliteration in "marvelous, memorable mind." I use a simile when I state that Kate is as brave as a lion. Finally, I use allusion when I refer to Penn and Teller (Penn Fraser Jillette Raymond Joseph Teller, two famous magicians who perform together).

one reason summer auggie is because she is kind, and the whole "boy war" between jack will and julian was probaly thinking her to be on auggies sode and if you read auggie and me,   she was nice to auggie because julian was mean and auggie needed some freinds. hope this

she was killed in her home during hurricane katrina. b.she was relocated to another town after hurricane katrina. c.she died trying to get victims of the hurricane to safety. d.she is still missing — police do not know where she is.
