Why would someone confess to being a witch even though the audience knows it’s not true? why would someone refuse to confess to being a witch?

Is this a texbook question? really? doesn't look like itwell obvious someone who is a witch in a book can openly express they being one because the audience reading the book can't do anything about the witch being a witch. someone might refuse to being a witch because witches practice deeds such as contacting demons, kill, use magic and potions. something the bible prohibits because they are works of demons. demons are in contact with witches and mediums in order to fool people that they are the only hope for humanity. of course this isn't true because jehovah is much powerful and stronger than satan and demons. he is god of all things. he is the creator of the earth and universe. his name is found over 6000 times in the bible. and people if they are smart enough will stay away from these sorts of people that stay in contact with demons. jw.org
